SEASON 4, EPISODE 4 — “General Sable’s Last Stand”

COLD OPEN

EXT. CORRUPTED BARRIERS — NIGHT

Thunder rumbles over a wasteland of blackened bamboo stalks twisted into unnatural shapes.
Dozens of spirit-tech husk creatures crawl across a ridge, patrolling like insects.

A single figure stands atop a hill, silhouetted by red lightning.

GENERAL SABLE.

Her cloak flutters violently. Her breath forms icy mist.
Her eyes burn with determination — but also fear.

She grips her two blades — forged of iron and spirit alloy.

She speaks into a cracked comm device:

SABLE
(quiet, resolute)
This is my last warning, Shen.
You won’t use me anymore.

Lightning illuminates the horizon — revealing Shen’s towering spirit-titan silhouette, writhing with branches and glowing cracks.

CUT TO BLACK.

TITLE CARD — “General Sable’s Last Stand”

ACT I

SCENE 1 — TOKI AND THE TRIO SEE THE NEWS

EXT. LOTUS GATE REALM — MORNING

Toki, TokiToki, and Maya walk through a newly formed spirit-path when a shockwave of crimson energy blasts across the sky.

The ground trembles.

Maya checks her spirit-tech detector.

MAYA
This signature… it’s not Shen.
It’s someone else fighting him.

Toki growls. TokiToki looks confused.

TOKITOKI
Who would be crazy enough to fight THAT thing alone?

Maya zooms in the projection — revealing…

GENERAL SABLE, carving through waves of corrupted spirit husks.

TokiToki gasps.

TOKITOKI
No way…
Sable?

Toki looks conflicted — angry, wary… but not hateful.

MAYA
We have to go.
If she’s fighting Shen, she either needs help…
or she’s about to do something really, really stupid.

The trio steps into a spirit bridge — heading toward the battlefield.

SCENE 2 — SABLE VS. THE OVERLORD

EXT. CORRUPTED FOREST — DAY

Sable slices through a husk-beast, severing its corrupted spirit vein.

Her agility is incredible — she leaps between the branches, landing blow after precise blow.

But the corruption is adapting.

Tendrils wrap around her arm — she cuts them off, but they regenerate.

She looks exhausted.

Suddenly, the ground splits open.

And from the fissure rises…

THE OVERLORD — SHEN’S TITAN FORM.

Its voice echoes with layered distortion.

THE OVERLORD
Sable…
You cannot defy me.

For the first time in the series, Sable looks afraid — but she stands her ground.

SABLE
I already did.

She charges.

The Titan swings an enormous corrupted branch, sending shockwaves.

Sable is flung back — smashing into a dead tree.

She struggles to get up.

THE OVERLORD
You owe your life to me.
I gave you purpose.

SABLE
(weak, furious)
You gave me orders.
You never cared about anything but your own power.

Her blades ignite with spirit energy.

She charges again.

ACT II

SCENE 3 — THE TRIO ARRIVES

EXT. RIDGE ABOVE THE BATTLEFIELD — MOMENTS LATER

The trio watches in horror as Sable fights desperately but is quickly overwhelmed.

Toki steps forward — ready to jump in.

Maya grabs his arm.

MAYA
Wait.
Look…

Below, Sable blocks another blow — but barely.

TOKITOKI
She’s… losing.

Toki growls, aura crackling dangerously.

MAYA
We help her.
But we let her choose how to end this.

SCENE 4 — SABLE’S SECRET

EXT. BATTLEFIELD — CONTINUOUS

Sable falls to her knees, coughing.

The Overlord looms.

THE OVERLORD
You were meant to inherit my new world.
Together, we would rule the perfect ecosystem.

Sable spits blood.

SABLE
We were never “together.”
You used me.
Just like everyone else.

Shen’s human face flickers beneath the corruption.

SHEN (faint)
Sable…
Don’t…

Sable freezes.

Her eyes widen — this is the first time she’s heard Shen’s true voice since his transformation.

Sable trembles.

SABLE
(faint, shaken)
You’re… still in there.

The Overlord snarls.

THE OVERLORD
BE SILENT.

A corrupted branch slashes at her — sending her tumbling.

Sable staggers to her feet.

SABLE
I’m finishing this.
If you won’t let go of Shen…
I’ll save him myself.

She raises her blades.

ACT III

SCENE 5 — THE FINAL FIGHT

EXT. CORRUPTED CLEARING — LATE AFTERNOON

The Titan’s arm swings — Sable dodges, but her right blade shatters on impact.

Toki leaps into the fray, blocking a corrupted strike with his bare paws.

TokiToki dives beside Sable.

TOKITOKI
Hey! You’re not dying on us today!

Sable stares at Toki — confused, vulnerable.

SABLE
Why would you help me?

Toki looks at her with soft, empathetic eyes.

A single low chuff.

TokiToki translates what she believes he means:

TOKITOKI
“Because no one deserves to face a monster alone.”
Not even someone who made mistakes.

Sable’s expression cracks — the first sign of humanity she’s shown since Season 1.

SABLE
I… don’t deserve your help.

MAYA
(stepping forward)
But Shen does.

Sable’s eyes snap to her.

MAYA
You know him better than anyone.
You know the man he used to be.
If anyone can reach the part of him that’s still alive…
It’s you.

Sable hesitates.

Toki roars — unleashing a powerful but unstable surge of light that blows back the Titan.

SCENE 6 — SABLE’S FINAL CHARGE

Toki collapses. He’s exhausted.

The Overlord gathers a massive crimson beam in his chest.

It aims straight for the trio.

Sable steps in front of them.

SABLE
(to the trio)
Don’t move.
It ends with me.

MAYA
Sable, NO—

Sable smiles softly — the first genuine smile she’s ever shown.

SABLE
For once…
Let me do the right thing.

She sprints toward the Titan.

Flashbacks flicker rapidly:

• Shen showing her how to forge a spirit blade

• Their first mission

• Shen telling her “you’re the only one I trust”

• Sable realizing he lied

• Sable realizing she still cares

Sable leaps high into the air.

The Overlord fires the beam—

Sable crosses her blades, absorbing the energy.

Her armor shatters.
Her spirit flickers.

She screams but keeps pushing forward.

SABLE
SHEN!
WAKE UP!

Shen’s human face appears, horrified.

SHEN
(weak, pained)
Sable… don’t…

Sable forces her last strength into her attack.

SABLE
(crying, yelling)
I’m not saving the Overlord!
I’m saving you!

A flash.

A massive explosion of light.

Silence.

ACT IV — AFTERMATH

EXT. SMOLDERING CLEARING — SUNSET

The corrupted forest is still.

Toki, TokiToki, and Maya pull themselves up from the ground.

A crater smolders where Sable stood.

At the center—

A single spirit-feather, white with black tips, floats down.

Maya catches it with trembling hands.

MAYA
(voice cracking)
She’s… gone.

Toki lowers his head.

TokiToki wipes tears with her sleeve.

TOKITOKI
She wasn’t a villain, Maya.
Not in the end.

A deep groan reverberates.

The Titan form of Shen, badly damaged, limps away into the shadows.

THE OVERLORD (weak)
Sable…
foolish girl…

But beneath the Overlord’s voice—

SHEN (faint, pained)
I’m sorry…

Then he disappears into the mist.

FINAL SCENE

EXT. RIDGE OVERLOOKING THE BATTLEFIELD — NIGHT

The trio stands in silence.

Toki places a massive paw over the feather in Maya’s hands.

Together, the feather begins to glow warmly.

Elder Shan appears behind them.

ELDER SHAN
Her sacrifice weakens the Overlord.
But take heed—
It also strengthens your resolve.
The Guardian Trinity grows closer to destiny.

TokiToki wraps her arms around Toki’s arm.

Maya wipes her tears and nods.

MAYA
This ends with us.
And we carry her memory into that final fight.

The wind picks up the feather.
It floats into the sky, swirling with golden light.

FADE OUT.
