COLD OPEN

EXT. TOP OF THE WORLD-TREE TITAN — NIGHT

Green and crimson lightning rip through the sky.

The Trinity is exhausted, bruised, shaking, standing before the cracked Overlord Crown.
The Titan’s massive body groans and shifts like a living mountain.

Shen’s trapped human face flickers inside the titan’s chest — eyes full of terror.

SHEN (weak)
Toki… please… end this…

A sudden blast of corrupted energy slams into the ground near the Trinity.

Toki shields TokiToki and Maya with his body.

The Overlord roars:

THE OVERLORD
YoU wIlL nOt BrEaK mY cRoWn.
I aM tHe WoRlD nOw.

The screen flashes white.

CUT TO BLACK.

TITLE CARD — “THE HEART THAT REMAINS”

ACT I

SCENE 1 — THE CRACK WIDENS

EXT. CROWN PLATFORM — CONTINUOUS

The Crown hangs overhead, cracked but still intact.
Every pulse makes a wave of corruption ripple outward across the forest.

TokiToki grabs Toki’s paw.

TOKITOKI
We have to keep going! We can still save Shen!

Toki looks at the girls.
He signs with determination:

“Together.”

Maya nods, wiping blood from her lip.

MAYA
Then let’s finish what we started.

But the Overlord shifts — the Titan moves with terrifying speed now.

A massive corrupted branch sweeps across the platform.

Toki takes the hit, slamming against a pillar.

TokiToki screams.

TOKITOKI
TOKI!!

Toki staggers up, weakly.
His flame flickers.

SCENE 2 — SHEN BREAKS THROUGH

The Titan’s chest flickers, showing Shen’s tortured human face again.

SHEN
(gasping)
Stop… him…
please… help them…

A corrupted vine shoots across Shen’s mouth, silencing him.

The Overlord laughs.

THE OVERLORD
THe ReMaInS oF tHe HuMan WeRe A uSeLeSs WhIsPeR.
I aM tHe OnE iN cHaRgE.

Toki growls — louder than ever, eyes blazing with vengeance.

SCENE 3 — THE TRINITY BOND STRAINING

Toki’s Guardian Flame pulses erratically.

Maya’s scanner flashes warnings.

MAYA
The Flame is destabilizing — he’s overexerting it!

The emerald mark on her wrist burns, making her wince.

TokiToki presses a hand to her heart mark — it pulses painfully.

TOKITOKI
What’s happening?

Elder Shan’s voice echoes faintly, barely audible against the storm:

ELDER SHAN (V.O.)
The Crown… drains unity.
It feeds on your bond…
It will force you apart.

Cracks begin forming between the emerald light linking them.

The trio gasps — their connection flickers.

TOKITOKI
(terrified)
No—no, stay with us! Don’t break!

Toki roars, forcing the bond to stabilize.

The cracks seal.

The Overlord recoils — the bond’s resistance hurts him.

ACT II

SCENE 4 — THE TITAN’S LAST DEFENSE

The Overlord slams both arms down.

A shockwave hurls Toki across the platform.

TokiToki runs to him, sliding across the cracked bark.

TOKITOKI
Toki, please get up—

He does… slowly… but he’s shaken.

Crimson vines erupt, binding Toki’s arms and dragging him backward.

MAYA
NO!

Maya fires spirit-tech blasts, but the vines regenerate.

The Overlord pulls Toki toward his chest.

THE OVERLORD
sO eAsY tO rEclAiM wHaT iS MiNe…

TokiToki charges forward.

TOKITOKI
LEAVE HIM ALONE!!

She slams her fist against the vines — her Heart-mark exploding with emerald fire.

The vines disintegrate.

Toki collapses into her arms.

He signs weakly:

“Don’t… get hurt… because of me.”

TokiToki shakes her head, eyes full of tears.

TOKITOKI
We’re stronger because of you.

SCENE 5 — MAYA’S BREAKDOWN

Maya sees the Crown glowing brighter — Shen losing hope — Toki too battered.

Her hands shake violently.

MAYA
I don’t know if we can do this…
I don’t know if I can do this…

She collapses to her knees.

The world blurs.

Static.

Her breathing trembles.

She sees visions:

Sable sacrificing herself
Shen screaming
Toki dying
TokiToki grieving
Herself failing them both

MAYA
(crying)
I CAN’T LOSE YOU BOTH.
I CAN’T—

Toki limps toward her, touching her shoulder.

She looks up — eyes devastated.

Toki looks into her eyes, full of gentle strength.

He signs:

“You. Are. Not. Alone.”

Her emerald mark glows.

The bond stabilizes anew.

MAYA
(through tears)
Okay…
Okay.
Let’s finish this.

SCENE 6 — THE CHOICE APPEARS

Just as the Trinity rises—

A giant corrupted projection appears:

A door, glowing red on one side, green on the other.
A voice echoes — not Shen’s, not Shan’s, something ancient:

VOICE
Guardian Trinity…
choose.

Images flash:

OPTION 1 — BREAK THE CROWN

Shen is freed
The world is saved
Toki’s flame extinguishes
Toki dies

OPTION 2 — SAVE TOKI

The Trinity escapes
The world-tree collapses
Shen’s soul is lost
The world falls to corruption

TokiToki backs away, horrified.

TOKITOKI
No…
No, no, NO—

Maya stumbles back.

MAYA
There’s no third option?!

Toki shakes violently.

He steps forward.

And signs:

“I choose… the world.”

TokiToki’s knees give out.

TOKITOKI
No—don’t say that—don’t you DARE—

He touches her cheek gently.

A tear slips down Toki’s face.

Maya sobs, unable to breathe.

ACT III

SCENE 7 — HEART AGAINST FATE

Toki steps toward the Crown.

The girls scream after him.

TOKITOKI
TOKI, STOP!
YOU DON’T GET TO MAKE THIS CHOICE ALONE!

She tries to run to him.

A barrier stops her.

She slams her fists against it, screaming.

TOKITOKI
You promised—
YOU PROMISED YOU’D STAY WITH ME!!

Toki lowers his head, in agony.

Maya grabs TokiToki, hugging her tightly.

MAYA
He thinks it’s the only way.
He thinks he has to do this for us.

Toki looks at them, breaking inside.

He signs shakily:

“I love you. Both.”

Both girls cry uncontrollably.

SCENE 8 — THE TRUE HEART OF THE GUARDIAN

But then—

A faint voice whispers:

SHEN (weak, inside Titan)
Toki…
Don’t… surrender…
Don’t make… my mistake…

Toki freezes.

He turns toward Shen’s face inside the Titan.

SHEN (CONT’D)
(choking)
I tried to save the world…
by sacrificing myself.
It destroyed everything.
Don’t… repeat… me.

The corrupted Titan glitches violently.

TokiToki gasps.

TOKITOKI
Shen… he doesn’t WANT you to die!

Maya wipes her eyes.

MAYA
Then there is a third option.
We just have to MAKE it.

The emerald bond flares brighter than ever.

The barrier cracks.

TokiToki rushes through and grabs Toki’s paw.

Maya grabs his other.

Toki stares at them, tears in his eyes.

They speak in unison:

TOKITOKI & MAYA
We choose together.

Their emerald marks ignite.

The Guardian Flame erupts —

forming a triangle of radiant unity around them.

The Crown pulses violently, destabilized.

The Overlord screams.

THE OVERLORD
NO—

SCENE 9 — THE CHOICE IS MADE

The Trinity stands united.

Toki closes his eyes.

He signs:

“Our choice… is life.”

Together—

They aim their combined emerald flame at the Crown.

The screen goes white.

A fracture appears.

Then another.

Then—

CRAAAAAAACK—

The Overlord Crown breaks.

FINAL SCENE

EXT. WORLD-TREE TITAN — CONTINUOUS

The Titan’s body shudders.

Shen’s human face brightens—

The corruption peels away—

He reaches outward—

SHEN
Toki…
You saved me—

Suddenly the Titan collapses under them.

The Trinity falls—

Toki wraps his massive arms around the girls—

Green light engulfs everything—
