COLD OPEN — THE CITY LOST TO TIME
A vision:
We soar over the ancient panda city Bambu-shin, glowing with emerald light, built of spiraling bamboo towers and bridges woven from living vines.
Pandas train in circles, moving with grace and purpose.
Humans meditate beside them, syncing their breath to the Pulse.
In the city’s heart stands a radiant figure:
Toki’s mother, regal, powerful, and warm — her staff glowing with unparalleled brilliance.
A distant rumble.
A crack of corrupted light.
The city trembles.
Her eyes widen.
She whispers, heartbroken:
TOKI’S MOTHER
“It’s beginning.”

TITLE CARD — TOKI TOKI
ACT I — THE BEGINNING OF MEMORY
Scene 1 — Entering the Memory Grove
Ryukai leads the group into a misty valley where enormous panda statues rise from the earth, covered in moss.
Each statue holds a fragment of a bamboo staff — broken, ancient, important.
RYUKAI
This place is called the Memory Grove.
Where the last Guardian Commanders preserved their stories…
and their regrets.
Toki’s staff glows faintly, pulling him forward.
TokiToki holds onto his arm.
TOKITOKI
We’ll see whatever it wants to show you.
Together.
Maya checks her mark.
It pulses with an unfamiliar pattern — like fear.
Scene 2 — The Memory Pool
They reach a circular pool at the valley’s center.
The water is completely still.
Perfectly reflective.
Alive with faint echoes of panda silhouettes.
Ryukai kneels.
RYUKAI
Guardian.
Touch the water.
Your lineage waits.
Toki hesitates — nervous, shaken — but obeys.
His paw touches the surface.
The world dissolves.
ACT II — THE GREAT MEMORY UNFOLDS
Scene 3 — The Rise of Bambu-shin
The group is transported into a spirit-vision, watching history as silent observers.
Beautiful scenes unfold:
Panda Guardians training beneath luminescent bamboo forests
Human partners meditating, laughing, working beside pandas
The Echo Council discussing spiritual balance
Bambu-shin thriving in harmony
TokiToki’s eyes sparkle.
TOKITOKI
It’s… beautiful.
Ryukai stands taller, nostalgia flickering behind his stoic eyes.
Scene 4 — Toki’s Mother Revealed
A series of scenes center on Toki’s mother, Hanora:
She trains younger guardians
Her staff glows brighter than all others
She carries baby Toki with tenderness, pride, and fierce love
Other pandas bow respectfully when she passes
Ryukai speaks softly.
RYUKAI
Hanora.
The last Guardian Commander.
Your mother was…
the strongest Guardian ever born.
Toki’s eyes widen — confused, proud, sad.
TokiToki grips his hand.
Scene 5 — Dr. Shen’s Tragic Beginning
The memory shifts.
A younger Dr. Shen arrives at Bambu-shin — terrified, clutching a wounded forest creature.
Hanora tends to the creature.
Shen watches her with awe.
He spends months studying with the Echo Council.
He helps heal bamboo wilt.
He protects smaller spirits.
He gains Hanora’s trust.
They become allies.
Maybe even friends.
Then a massive corruption event hits the forest — an early version of the rot we now see.
Shen screams as forests collapse.
He tries to save everything.
Fails.
Breaks.
YOUNG SHEN (crying)
“There has to be a way to stop death!
To stop the Pulse from fading!
Please… don’t let me lose anyone else!”
Toki watches, shocked.
Maya presses her hand to her mouth.
TokiToki frowns sympathetically.
Ryukai’s voice is low.
RYUKAI
He begged the spirits for power he was never meant to hold.
Scene 6 — The Fall of Bambu-shin
The memory darkens.
Roots twist.
Corruption erupts from beneath the city.
Hanora rallies the Guardians.
Shen stands in the center, holding corrupted spirit energy in his hands — terrified of what he’s become.
Hanora reaches for him.
HANORA
“Shen, stop—
this path will consume you!”
YOUNG SHEN
“It’s the only way to save us!”
His spirit energy explodes, triggering a chain of collapses.
Bambu-shin falls.
Pandas scream.
Humans flee.
The city dies.
Toki watches in horror.
Scene 7 — Hanora’s Last Moments
The memory focuses on baby Toki.
Hanora places him gently into a bundle of protective vines.
HANORA (softly)
“My son…
You must live.
You must lead.
You must remember…”
She kisses his forehead.
Then she runs into the collapsing city, staff glowing fiercely, shielding others.
Corruption engulfs her.
Toki drops to his knees, devastated.
TokiToki cries openly.
Even Ryukai bows his head in grief.
ACT III — THE TRUTH TURNS HEAVY
Scene 8 — The Final Memory
The spirit-vision fades, but one last image appears:
Hanora’s staff breaking into five shards — scattering across the world.
The Living Cane was hers.
And now Toki must reclaim it.
Maya whispers:
MAYA
She wasn’t just a Guardian…
She was the Guardian.
Ryukai places a paw on Toki’s shoulder.
RYUKAI
Her strength lives in you.
Her legacy is yours to carry.
But not alone.
TokiToki hugs him fiercely.
TOKITOKI

We’re not going anywhere.
Toki finally stands — shaking but stronger inside.
He breathes deeply.
His aura glows brighter than ever before.

Scene 9 — The Forest Boy Returns
The spirit boy reappears, faint and flickering.
SPIRIT BOY

but be warned.”
His voice trembles.
SPIRIT BOY
“The Vessel also sees the past.”
“And he knows where you will go next.”
The grove cracks.
A violent ripple runs through the Pulse.
Ryukai snaps into defensive stance.
RYUKAI
Shen is coming.
We leave now.
FINAL SCENE — SHEN INVADES THE MEMORY
In the corrupted Pulse realm, Shen stands before a flickering vision of Hanora.
He watches her final moments with soft, broken eyes.
For a moment,
he looks like the man he once was.
Then his expression hardens.
SHEN
You chose death.
I choose eternity.
He touches the Pulse-image of baby Toki.
SHEN
The Guardian thinks he inherits your strength…
but he inherits your tragedy.
Green cracks spread across the vision.
Shen smiles.
SHEN
Let the final shards awaken.
Let the Guardian run toward his fate.
I will be waiting.
His aura flares violently—
