COLD OPEN
EXT. MOUNTAIN VILLAGE – MORNING
A small but lively village sits nestled at the base of the Lóngshān mountain. Colorful banners flap between bamboo poles. Lanterns sway gently in the wind.
Villagers bustle about, preparing for the annual Bamboo Games Festival—a day celebrating the mountain’s wildlife, culture, and the guardianship between humans and the forest.
A drumline starts up. Kids in painted panda masks run through the street.
Cut to TokiToki pressing her face against a giant banner:
GREAT BAMBOO GAMES — STRENGTH, SKILL, AND SPIRIT!
Toki stands behind her, blinking slowly.
Kin (the mysterious boy from Episode 4) looks around curiously, unused to crowds and festivities.
Ranger Liu adjusts his ranger hat proudly.

TokiToki grabs a game pamphlet.

Toki shrugs. He’s in.
Maya adjusts her glasses.

I’m only entering competitions that don’t involve physical exertion, emotional stress, surprise animals, or Whack-a-Mole.
A mole pops up beside her.

(screams)

SCENE 2 — THE VILLAGERS MEET TOKI
A crowd gathers around Toki.
Children gasp, adults whisper, and one grandmother pinches Toki’s cheek.

What a fine, handsome panda!
So big! So fluffy!
Toki is overwhelmed.
TokiToki proudly puffs her chest.

He’s not just any panda—
He’s a GUARD—
(suddenly realizes she shouldn't reveal the secret)
—guardian… of, uh… snacks! Yes! Guardian of Snacks!
Toki looks betrayed but continues chewing.
Kin stands quietly, observing the villagers with caution—he’s clearly uncomfortable around so many people.

For now, let yourself just… be a kid.
Kin nods slowly, trying to relax.
SCENE 3 — SIGNING UP FOR CHAOS
At the festival sign-up booth, a cheerful coordinator checks names.

Kin folds his arms.

Maya

A final climb up a slippery, rotating spiral
Team Panda Power steps up.
Spectators cheer wildly for Toki.
The announcer shouts:

MONTAGE — HILARIOUS CHAOS
Toki walks calmly across a beam while other pandas wobble.
TokiToki swings wildly from vine to vine, screaming happily.
Maya tiptoes across a mud pit using her game pamphlet as a stepping stone.
Kin moves with unnatural grace—almost spirit-like—drawing confused looks from other contestants.
At the final obstacle, Toki and TokiToki must climb together.
TokiToki struggles.

This is it, Toki!
My arms are noodles!
My willpower is soup!
Toki gently places her on his back.
He climbs with calm, powerful strides.
They reach the top.
The crowd erupts in cheers.
They WIN.
TokiToki jumps around.
TokiToki
WE DID IT!!
WE ARE CHAMPIONS OF MUD AND SWEAT AND HONOR!!
Toki bows modestly.
Kin watches, a faint smile forming—perhaps his first real smile.
SCENE 5 — THE SPIRIT CALL COMPETITION
Kin is reluctantly coaxed into a flute-based competition measuring "spirit resonance."
The other contestants produce shrill, chaotic flutes.
Kin steps forward.
His melody is soft, ancient, beautiful.
The willows sway.
The lanterns flicker.
The entire crowd falls silent.
Even Toki hums in harmony.
When Kin finishes, the crowd erupts in applause.
Kin blushes, overwhelmed.
TokiToki cheers the loudest.

He crushes it, but its remnants spark ominously.
The festival is being watched.
He looks back at the joyful crowd, masking his fear.
ACT III
SCENE 7 — FINAL GAME: THE BAMBOO TUG-O-SPRING
A silly but beloved tradition:
Two teams stand on opposite ends of a giant springy bamboo stalk suspended over a shallow pool.
They pull, bounce, and try to knock each other off.
Team Panda Power faces:
THE MIGHTY MUSK OX CREW
Three buff villagers with enthusiasm and no fear.
Toki steps forward.
The musk ox crew gulps.
THE MATCH
The bamboo sproings violently.
Kin nearly flips but gracefully lands like a cat.
Maya clings to Toki's leg for dear life.
TokiToki leaps dramatically and misses, landing in the pool.
Toki just… stands there… unmovable.
Eventually, Toki gives the bamboo a gentle tug.
The entire ox crew goes flying into the water.
The crowd roars.
SCENE 8 — THE AWARDS CEREMONY
Team Panda Power receives a giant golden bamboo trophy.
TokiToki holds it above her head like a war hero.
TokiToki
PEOPLE OF LÓNGSHĀN!
WE CLAIM THIS VICTORY IN THE NAME OF FUN AND PANDA FRIENDSHIP!!
The crowd cheers.
Kin stands beside them, holding a smaller silver flute award.
Toki pats his head affectionately.
For a moment… everything is peaceful.
SCENE 9 — THE FESTIVAL FIREWORKS
As night falls, fireworks explode overhead.
Toki, TokiToki, Maya, Kin, and Ranger Liu sit on a blanket.
TokiToki leans against Toki.
Kin quietly plays a gentle tune that harmonizes with the fireworks.
Ranger Liu smiles.

Kin pauses his flute.

Toki looks toward the forest, sensing something.

A final firework blooms overhead—
shaped like a giant panda.
