My Future Grammy Speech

Thank you to the academy for this incredible honor. I would be remiss if I did not recognize a few individuals. First and foremost to the person who introduced me to music production, my resident assistant at the University of Oregon, Brennan Heller. Second, to my mentor, (someone I had the pleasure of playing beats for) Grammy-winning producer !llmind. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to Miles Berglund, my dearest friend, who provided validation and support as I made progress in private. He has listened to every single beat I have ever made.

Finally, a message to any young producer out there watching. When I first downloaded FL Studio in 2019, I told myself that winning a Grammy at 80 would be just as fulfilling as winning one at 20. The moral is to give yourself permission to take your time. It’s the best thing you can do for yourself.
